Depending Upon Homeowners Location, Some Malverne Residents Utilize Lynbrook or Valley Stream High Schools Instead of Malverne Schools.

Lynbrook SchoolsThe Lynbrook School District is a K-12 learning environment that includes the collaboration of students, teachers, administrators, parents and community to excite curiosity, inspire insights and motivate learning.  We will challenge each unique individual to become a self-sufficient, responsible and contributing member of society and to encourage each to achieve his or her highest potential through a lifelong learning process.

Valley Stream Schools - The Valley Stream Central High School District is one of only three New York State Districts covering grades 7-12 exclusively. The District operates one junior high school for grades 7-9 (Memorial Junior High School); one senior high school for grades 10-12 (Central High School); and two combined junior and senior high schools for grades 7 -12 (North High School and South High School). The four buildings are located on approximately 58 acres of land.

Malverne High School, located in Nassau County, Long Island, serves over 500 students from Malverne, Lakeview and Lynbrook. Malverne was named a U.S. High School of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education and is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Malverne is one of 4 schools in the District.

Lynbrook High School  (9-12)
Lynbrook High School enjoys a tradition of excellence that has brought pride to the students and staff, as well as to the entire community. Each year, at least ninety-five percent of the graduates go on to higher education, with many attending the most prestigious universities in the country.

Valley Stream North High School  (10-12)
Valley Stream North High School has a proud tradition of student achievement both in and out of the classroom. The building encompasses grades 7-12 which allows for diverse and interesting course offerings and co-curricular activities. Students can take advantage of the academic, artistic, vocational, performing arts and athletic programs that provide both a rewarding and enriching junior-senior high school experience.

Howard T. Herber Middle School has been recognized by the United States Department of Education as a a No Child Left Behind - Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. The school has also been recognized by the New York State Education Department as a High Performing/Gap Closing School. This is in large part due to the dedicated staff who are committed to ensuring that every student receives a quality education. Elementary Schools

Davison Avenue Elementary School  (K-4)
Davison Avenue Elementary School  is part of  Malverne Public Schools located  in Nassau County, Long Island, New York.  We are situated in the southwest section of Nassau County, approximately 20 miles from Manhattan.
Davison Avenue is a multi-cultural K-4 school.  Depending on the yearly change in population, there are either three or four classes on each grade level.  Davison Avenue School contains the ESL program for grades K-4 in the district, as well as an inclusion class for each grade level.  There are two computers available in each class in addition to our computer lab which in the Fall of 1998 was networked and made available for use by students. 
Additionally,  Davison Avenue  offers curriculums in Art, Music, Physical Education and Library.
