Long Beach Senior High School    (9-12)
At Long Beach High School, they are proud of their high college admission rates.  Students attend top colleges and universities.  Students participate in Intel, Siemens, and numerous local competitions.   A very wide range of electives are available.  Long Beach High School has numerous advanced-placement and college courses, including a collaboration with Syracuse University.  It has a comprehensive science reseach program.   Long Beach High School is proud of its award-winning high school student literary magazine, "Fragments", and has repeatedly received the highest award for the National Council of teachers of English in recognition of excellence, as a literary publication.

West Hempstead High School  (9-12)
Welcome to West Hempstead High School, a school that strives to provide the highest quality educational program for each of its 940 students.  The goal is to have every student develop to their fullest potential.  At West Hempstead, education is viewed as an academic and social process shared in responsibility by the entire school community, parents, students, teachers, support staff and administrators.  West Hempstead High School has a long tradition of high standards in the areas of academics, athletics, and fine arts.

Middle School

Island Park Lincoln Orens Middle School

Island Park's Lincoln Orens Middle School (grades 5-8) recognizes the unique learning requirements of adolescent students by offering an educationally balanced program designed to meet academic, social, and emotional needs. As a developmentally responsive middle school, they recognize the diverse characteristics and individual needs of young people. They believe that the skills, knowledge, and personal competence students acquire in school should build success now and in the future. While creating a community for learning this school hopes to transmit our heritage, teach the tools of scholarship and the workplace, and promote democratic citizenship. The belief is that Island Park's Lincoln Orens Middle School is a joyful place where learning and learners are celebrated.

Elementary Schools

Francis X. Hegarty Elementary School  (K-4)
The education program of Island Park students begins in the Francis X. Hegarty School, a Kindergarten to fourth grade building. Kindergarten is a full-day program where students are introduced to an integrated language arts program. In kindergarten, socialization skills are stressed while students become involved in music and art projects as part of the classroom curricula. Students also attend computer education, physical education, and library.
